Why everyone keeps coming back.

Student Tasty Biryani Inc is a vibrant Pakistani and Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of Montreal at 1620a Av. Lincoln A. This culinary gem specializes in authentic Pakistani flavors, perfectly capturing the essence of traditional biryani and other beloved dishes that echo the rich heritage of South Asian cuisine.

Step inside, and you are immediately embraced by a warm, "deshi" vibe — a true reflection of the culture behind the food. The friendly staff, attentive and welcoming, add to the charm, making every visit feel like dining at a friend’s home. Whether you choose to dine in or order delivery, Student Tasty Biryani promises a consistent and hearty experience.

The menu is a treasure trove for lovers of bold, aromatic spices and expertly balanced flavors. Their Chicken Tikka Biryani, featuring highly seasoned sella basmati rice paired with a Kashmiri-style marinated chicken quarter, bursts with savory richness and comes served with a signature sauce that perfectly complements the dish’s depth. Equally enticing is the Shahi Biryani (Boneless), a luxurious option for those seeking tender, spice-infused meat melded into fragrant rice.

For vegetarian diners, the Mix Vegetable Biryani offers a colorful and satisfying alternative filled with fresh veggies and delicately spiced rice. Complementing the biryanis, the Vegetable Samosas with sauce make a crisp, flavorful appetizer that pairs beautifully with the warm spices of the main course.

Signature items like the Chicken Tandoori Quarter Leg reflect slow-cooked mastery, marinated with aromatic spices and charcoal-grilled to perfection—imbuing the meat with a smoky, tender finish. The Chicken Paratha Roll and Paneer Tikka Roll are excellent choices for those craving handheld delights packed with traditional flair.

Customers rave about the authenticity and heart embedded in every dish. Mehedi Hassan speaks highly of the regular biryani orders and praises the “deshi vibe” and friendly staff. Kyrie Wang enjoyed the generous portions and vegan-friendly options, emphasizing the restaurant's inclusivity without compromising on flavor. Mohammad Khamayseh lauds the pinnacle of taste and elegance found here, while Alisha Mahmood appreciates the comforting richness of the butter chicken and the soft, flavorful garlic naan. Pooja Sharma’s enthusiasm for the lamb and achari biryani echoes a common theme—the food is fresh, perfectly spiced, and deeply satisfying.

I eat biryani from here regularly! Their chicken biryani and korma are my favorite. The prices are also reasonable. Usually I order in Uber. Last day I visited the restaurant physically. Totally deshi vibe, all the stuff are friendly. They treat the customers well.

Delicious and affordable! My 8 year old daughter and I loved the food. Many vegan options available also. One portion of vegetable Thali (pictured) is large enough to fill both of us and is only 13$ with tax included. It came with naan, which we already started biting, so it isn't in the photo. Such a great deal!

Student Tasty Biryani is definitely worth a stop if you’re after good food in a friendly spot. The butter chicken is rich and comforting, and the garlic naan comes out soft and full of flavour. The environment is welcoming and comfortable, and the staff are polite and helpful. Special appreciation goes out to Zahoor for keeping the quality high and making everyone feel at home. he has truly mastered his recipes -every dish tastes like he’s poured in passion and years of tradition.

Today i went to student biryani …. i ordered achari biryani and lamb biryani “.Amazing experience at Student Tasty Biryani!” The food was super delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The biryani had the right mix of spices and aroma. Navjot, who works there, was really friendly and provided excellent service. Great place for students who want tasty food at a good price. Highly recommend visiting!

LOVE their Chicken Biryani! Also tried chicken tikka as well, the first time I had it was SUPERB, finger licking good! The next time it was disappointing. (had it on canada day) I would suggest visiting on peak hours to get the freshest biryani. Once I visited on off peak hours and it wasn’t good. Overall a great spot for wholesome biryani! PS: show your student ID to get some discount (cash only)

I plan to return to enjoy this little gem of a place again. The service was friendly and excellent. The food is full of wonderful flavours and the portions are healthy. It is a small venue not set up for large groups but at the same time well worth the trip!!

This might look like a hole in the wall but don’t be fooled. This is an amazing Karachi style student biryani. The front desk guy is sweet and genuine. I also tried their palak paneer which was excellent. Chai was too sweet for my taste and he promptly brought me another without added sugar. Great experience overall. I believe this is a family run business so please support them. And you will not be disappointed.
